I first picked up a camera in 2001 and I've never been without one since. My first camera, an old Canon film SLR, was a gift and I had no idea how to use it. And so began a long journey of self-teaching and a lot of soul-searching.

In 2011, after nearly 10 years, I gave up my career in the hotel trade and decided to try some new things. But after a couple of house conversions and a bit of travelling, I still couldn't settle.

It was my wife, Rebecca, who suggested that I should turn my passion for photography into a business. (This wasn't a loving gesture, it was just to get me out of the house!). So I did, and I haven't looked back since.

As I said before, my first camera was a Canon and I still shoot with Canon cameras today.
